Photographs and Photographers and Presentation of Mr. Vinod's Best-Liked Pictures

Lecture
Earlier in class, Mr. Vinod showed us a presentation of 10 best-liked pictures of him. He mentioned some of the well-known photographers such as Herb Ritts, Mark Seliger, Prabhuddha Dasgupta, Richard Avedon, Manoj Jadhar and Raghu Rai and presented their amazing works on his slides. Then, he also showed us some of his best-liked pictures that he has snapped.

Instructions:
  1. Do a research about aperture at home
  2. Discuss about aperture on the next class with other students
  3. Bring along your camera and tripod on the next class
Feedback:
general feedback: Mr. Vinod asked us to update our ePortfolio before Wednesday night every week or else our marks will get deducted. He also asked us to be concise and precise about our ePortfolio and add source or screenshot to our post.

specific feedback: Mr. Vinod said that I have made a good attempt at writing the reflection and he asked me to keep improving, try to stick within the parameters of the topic being discussed, other points of reflection unrelated are also welcome. Also, any suggestion with regard to the teaching and learning experience in the class with regard to his delivery of the topic or presentation would also be welcome.

Reflection:
experience: At first, the class was so quiet because there was only 13 of us. I was so nervous because I thought Mr. Vinod will show us our presentations on the projector but he has watched our videos before and I felt relieved. He asked us which pictures from anyone of us that we like? I have not watch all of the videos yet, so, I cannot decide which one do I like. Some of my classmates mentioned few of their favourites pictures. Then, Mr. Vinod showed us his best-liked pictures of other photographers and his. I was fascinated by the pictures that appeared on the screen projector because the pictures are amazing.

observation: From my observation, good pictures can be taken if you have skills and know how to use the basic manual on the camera. Everyone has their own favourite types of pictures and it is okay if you do not like others' picture because personally, I think we can improve ourselves with the negative comments. It does not mean negatives comments are bad. But, at least we all know what others like in a picture.

findings: I think that all of my classmates' presentations are great. They really do have talent in photography. Mr. Vinod's works are great as well. They inspire me to take a lot of good pictures in future. I hope that everyone will be close to each other on the next class.
